The World Is Not Enough

The World Is Not Enough

1 note

This is Jesse, signing off (kind-of)!

It looks like this is the end of my  blog. I’ve promised myself half a dozen times in the last two years I’d get back to blogging. And I didn’t. Most of that is my own laziness, but part of it is not figuring out what kind of voice I wanted to have on my blog. Suffice to say it’s changed a lot since I started my blog back in…2010, I think.

I think the best thing to do is to end this block again and begin again. Therefore, I’ll be deleting this account and relaunching. If you wish to keep following me, you can do so at I’ll be deleting this blog in about week or so. I hope some of you will take an interest in the new blog, but if not, then goodbye and happy tumbling!

The Education Issue: Studying Chinese to reach his parents

A really interesting Washington Post article about one of my fraternity brothers. I had Chinese class with him, and I knew a little about his background as the son of immigrants who grew up poor in Brooklyn, but I didn’t really know about the language barrier between parent and child. Really interesting phenomenon I’d never heard about before.
